CLASS: Home Brewing Basics

Join us Saturday, March 24th at 1pm as we walk through the basics of making coffee at home. With a variety of methods and tools in the market, making great coffee at home can be easy and fun!

This is a hands-on class! Using the new Stagg XF Dripper, Chemex, and more, participants will be able to make a cup coffee as we discuss how variables like water temperature, time, and grind size affect the quality of your cup.

This class is $25 and includes a $15 gift card.

Join us for the 2018 Oklahoma City Caffeine Crawl! 

Caffeine Crawl is like a pub crawl but with caffeine instead of beer. Presented by The Lab out of Kansas City, this is one of our favorite events every year. Routes will be a guided tour of coffee and tea shops in the area. The event takes place in both OKC and Tulsa on Friday and Saturday March 9 & 10. Pick your route and have a blast with friends. Check out what we did in 2016 and 2017 to see what you're in for. 

We will be the kickoff location for Route 4 on Friday, March 9 and a stop on Routes 6 & 8 on Saturday, March 10. Get your tickets now and join us for some coffee learning, making, and tasting! We would love to see you!

Seed to Cup Part 1

This will be the first in a new series called Seed to Cup. 

Part One will cover Farming and Processing. We'll dive into some plant biology to talk about how we get from the coffee plant to the green bean shipped to our roaster friends! We’ll taste the effects of different types of processing as well as some exciting research in the fields of varietals and origin!

Join us Saturday, January 20th at 1pm for a palate training as we talk about how acidity plays a role in coffee and explore some common citrus notes in coffee! We’ll taste and compare different citrus fruits and try them alongside a coffee or two!

Evolution of Specialty Coffee in Three Cups

Ever wondered how a cup of grocery store coffee fares next to a cup from your favorite shop? Curious about why we spend so much time talking about where the coffee comes from and who produced it? In this class we’ll discuss the evolution of coffee production and consumption and what makes specialty coffee so special.  

There will be a demonstration and you will be able to taste at least 3 different coffees and discuss the differences in a group setting.

Home Brew Troubleshooting Class

Do you make coffee at home regularly and want to learn more about a couple ways you can make an even better cup? This small class is aimed at helping troubleshoot common problems in making coffee at home and is geared for coffee lovers who enjoy making coffee and want to learn more about techniques and tricks to a better first cup of the day! You will be given a short survey describing your current coffee-making habits so that the class can be tailored specifically to their questions and interests!
