A new month means new specials! While we're sad to see the Lemon Chili Mocha is gone, it's exciting to have new things. And don't worry; the Honey Lavender Latte hasn't gone anywhere!

This month, alongside the Honey Lavender, we're featuring a series of Sparkling Tea Lemonades. Traditionally a blend of black tea and lemonade, our series starts there and branches out to include our Cold Brew Lemonade and a Rooibos Tea Lemonade. They're all made with Alta Palla's sparkling lemonade, and they're so refreshing!

And the star of this month's Specials board is the Carrot Cake Latte. This is Tanner's latest invention - look out for lots of Tanner inventions over the next month...

The Carrot Cake Latte starts with juicing fresh carrots and using the juice to make a brown sugar simple syrup. We then spice it with ginger, almond and vanilla extract, and a variety of baking spices. It gives it that cake flavor and an increasing carrot presence as you drink it down.

This is one we're really proud of. Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks of it! Let us know!

Drink Specials for September! by Steve Willingham

We're so excited to start inventing fall drinks. September gives us our first opportunity, so check out what we came up with.

Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to the Cherry Vanilla Latte, but I'm excited to tell you that you'll still be able to get the Cold Brew Lemonade and the matcha lemonade year-round. In fact, you'll find the matcha latte and lemonade on our new permanent menu!


For September, we wanted something with a feel of fall (only three weeks away!) but still a hint of summer. As always, we keep the ingredients simple: maple syrup, rosemary, milk, and most importantly espresso.


We paired pure maple syrup with rosemary to create a syrup that takes sweetness from maple syrup to a whole new level in an herby/savory latte. Come try it out hot or iced or, get this, as an iced americano. Seriously tasty.

And don't miss our featured tea: pineapple coconut black tea from Urban Tea House. It is exactly what it sounds like and will make you feel like you're on a beach.

August Lemonade Drink Specials by Steve Willingham

The new drinks for August have a theme: lemonade.

The inspiration for this month's drinks is Mikey's idea for a cold brew lemonade.

First, he took Heart's Stereo Blend, a blend of Colombia Pitalina and Ethiopia Idido, and steeped it at room temperature for fourteen hours. This gives us a cold brew coffee with a nice cherry cola taste to it.

Step two was the lemonade. Normally we only use scratch ingredients to make our drinks, including our standard menu of vanilla, chocolate, and caramel syrups. But this time, we found the perfect lemonade for this project: Alta Palla's sparkling lemonade. We use equal parts lemonade and cold brew with just a touch of simple syrup to make a refreshingly simple coffee cocktail.

You know what else pairs perfect with lemonade? Matcha! We're adding this to our secret menu. We make Woodshed Tea's matcha with a little water and lemonade and serve it over ice. Or just grab a can of sparkling lemonade because sometimes that's what summer calls for.

Last month's espresso cream sodas went over really well, so we're keeping them on for a while. And we have that homemade cherry-vanilla syrup. Have you tried it in a latte yet? It tastes like a cherry Tootsie Pop. That'll be on the specials menu as well.
